View Full Version : Rigging a T rex leg.

Hi im trying to rig a T rex leg, i create ik on the leg between the hip and ankle which is fine but when i create a pole vector the whole foot rotates when i move the knee control instead of the rotation stopping above the ankle. can anyone help?

sounds like your not finished setting up the foot.
You will more than likely need to finish setting up the foto by doing IK SC (single Chain) solver from the ankle to the ball joint. then another from the ball to the toe. Then attach the IK to your Controls. This will hold the foot in Place while your PoleVector control moves the knee direction.

NP.. there is a thread from a couple months ago on rigging the leg/foot. You may want to do a search for that. The thread has some good information.
