Well, one of our latest projects at my Animation course @ Ravensbourne College is pretty much to explore something you want to go further in.
We had 8 weeks to produce something, including track a movie clip and put our model, or animation, or whatever and show it off.
Now, me being me I HATE to not show something that I feel worthwhile, so Instead of JUST animating or JUST modelling I decided to go for the whole Sh-bang. All in under 8 weeks. ON top of another project (group project to make a digital enviroment) PHEW! hardcore right? Well, it's all over now and I thought i'd share my little project with you guys (just under 10 seconds) where I;
- designed (paper concepts + digital drawings)
- modelled (maya)
- rigged (maya)
- animated (maya)
- Tracked footage + added models
- rendered with shaders etc (maya) + seperate passes (Robot/MooM/Shadow)
- composited + added sound (After Effects + Premiere)
ALL on my measley laptop.
So, now you know how much of a challenge it was go ahead and enjoy it! Let me know what worked, what didn't. What needs improvement, what was EPIC. What wasnt. etc!! cheers guyssss
DISCLAIMER: I don't actually hate the rig or rigger, and the title does not reflect my personal opinion of the rig. I referred to MooM because he gets sliced to pieces :D
