View Full Version : Audio not in synce after compressing in Sorenson Squeeze 6?

Hi everyone,

I'm having a hard time figuring why the audio doesn't go in sync with the video after compressing in Sorenson Squeeze 6 (this never happened to me in Sorenson Squeeze 4). The video plays correctly but the audio doesn't play from start to finish, it leaves out the first 1second of the sound then plays whatever is left from the beginning of the video.
I've tested this with other videos and it does the same thing to them. And I tried different codecs in Sorenson Squeeze and I still get the same problem.

The original avi file was exported with 24 fps from After Effects CS4 before I compressed with Sorenson Squeeze with 24fps as the frame rate.

If anyone knows how to fix this, I would really really appreciate it!
Also heres a screenshot of my video/sound setting in Sorenson Squeeze 6 if it helps:

Any reason for 44,1 kHz?

I suppose its one of the commonly used rates. I've tried setting it to 48kHz before, but it doesn't change the problem I'm having..

I suppose its one of the commonly used rates.Yes it is, but unless you encode a final output, stick with 48 kHz

I figured what the problem is, Sorenson Squeeze 6 can't handle AE cs4 uncompressed .avi files.
Its so weird that this never happened in the older versions on both programs. But oh well, after much experimenting...finally.
Sorenson 6 can handle uncompressed .mov files instead.
