i began this model in november 2002. it has been a learning project for me during my spare time. i started him in a free program called anim8or. my wife bought me truespace6 for christmas '02 and i have been using it ever since.
i think the body is pretty much done other than some tweaks to some minor details to get rid of the perfect symetry. i am going to start on his mouth parts (teeth, gums, etc) and then try to rig him.
i was hoping to get c&c on the model before i start to rig him. are there any obvious issues with the mesh that would cause problems during animation? i would also like to hear your overall impression of the model.

hey! i remember seeing this way back on the anim8or forum ,i woundered what happened to him
he has some crumpled up polly's under his eyes and ears and the lower abdomen needs some work as the muscle structure is a bit wrong
its still cool though
p.s. anim8or has just had an upgrade by the way.

i found that same image about 2 months after i started this model. i had already established the shape of his head and was working on the body. i was amazed how closely it resembled my concept and i have been using this image (http://brilliant-creations.com/images/poor_man_dig.jpg) as a reference to refine the facial details.
the point of this character is to learn how to model.
thank you all for the comments keep em coming please.
