View Full Version : 3D Animation References...Help?!

01 January 2010, 05:58 PM
Hello to all apart of CG Talk.

I'm a IUPUI College student majoring in New Media. I've been pretty nervous about posting my first thread on here because this place is full of talent and I'm really no where near as good as anyone on here lol. However, I'm currently working on a 3D short at the moment soon to be released in the Spring of 2011 and wanted some tips and how to's on 3D Animation. I've taken 2D animation before and understand the mechanics behind it, but I was just wanting to know where could I find some really good 3D animation How to's and references for character animation. Examples such as how to make them jump, run, etc. Needing as many references as possible so the more the merrier.

thanks to all who can contribute.

Consider yourself very fortunate for learning 2D animation as I find that it's very difficult to teach someone good animation with a 3D background.
