View Full Version : B-Movie Entry: Ander Avila

Ander Avila has entered "B-Movie".

I am going to take a different artistic approach on this little project. Because I do not want to spend a lot of time modelling and I want it to be visually interesting and different, this is going to be inspired by Saul Bass, Yuki 7, the works of Matthew Lyons (some works on the moodboard), Mad Men and so on. I am going to take this competition as an animation excercise.

The story is about ancient robots awakned because of an archeological dig - an ex-superagent is called to save the world! My first thought was - I want it to look like Tom Ford had to make a sci-fi movie with minimal budget. I want to make it cheesy (cardboard props and wires in some scenes), but then again stylish (suits, cool glasses, women!) I also thought about including russian agents, but how will I tie it to the story line, we will see.

I'll figure out the storyline this week, storyboards coming soon.

Could not help myself, did a 3d sketch of a character. Just to see how well the concept translated in to 3d. Definately not final, just a sketch.

Moodboard! (

Just a small doodle.

Going to build the main characters home first, so I could get in to the process and figure out where will I visually go and tweak it to the max!

Made a body for the head. Still a remider, just a sketch of where am I headed. This wont probably make it to the trailer.
