View Full Version : boujou camera solve check

on page 3-21 of boujou 4.1 documentation it says:
(about how to check if your solve is good enough)

"You should look
out for any residuals that are significantly higher than the ones
around them as these sudden spikes show that there is a problem."

what i intend to ask is how much sudden spike should be considered as a sudden spike and hence a problem.

can anyone please throw some light, i would really appreciate.

PS: also if some one can please let me know if there is a detailed literature somewhere how to offset the radial distortion in the cg elements. (do you put a fish eye lens? while rendering out your cg elements if yes how do you match the exact R distortion) (also how to deal with the image plane's increased size in the final export due to camera offset while adjusting and solving the R distortion)
