50 ft zombie/alien vs. robot cops. Yes. The color scheme will be baby blue, magenta, and pink. I will not change my mind.
01-19-2010, 11:05 PM
It looks like a terrible and beautiful plague of some sort. Nice work!
01-19-2010, 11:56 PM
Thank you :) It will not be beautiful for long >:]
01-22-2010, 08:23 PM
Borders...I know nothing of poster design and aesthetics.
01-22-2010, 09:02 PM
this look epic and messed up at the same time ^^ wonder how it will turn out
01-23-2010, 03:10 PM
Pegahoul: Thanks :) Mess is my domain, definitely.
KIDI: Thank you! :D
01-25-2010, 05:05 PM
Am going somewhere with this, I swear.
01-26-2010, 09:44 PM
Needed more room. I don't think CGchallenge put a strict format on the posters, so...going to widen it to the left more, too.
01-28-2010, 03:16 PM
It's become terribly apparent that I don't know what in the hell a color scheme is.
I guess I'm going for those japanese style b movie posters-like for godzilla? With awesome text going up-down along the sides...haha, I don't know anymore. Look how crazy this thing got.
01-31-2010, 04:32 AM
Right, trying to, to, do something, to that other side. Blue vs Red scheme, good vs evil, etc. Haha, couldn't have Godzilla, so just put the fighting robo-girls in, you know.
02-01-2010, 11:31 PM
I think I'm bipolar. But, no, this is how it's going to be, scantily clad robo girl and all, centerpiece. Yeah.
02-04-2010, 10:06 PM
New thing, I think it'll work better. More my style.
02-05-2010, 12:45 AM
I've been kinda following you to see where you would go with this... it was certainly getting pretty epic, but really confusing. It was probably a good way to get a lot of stuff out of your system. I like this new concept alot. It's simple but intriguing.
02-05-2010, 02:59 AM
Red, fire, yeah.
02-05-2010, 08:44 PM
....and it is simple no more.
At least this one makes more sense, I think.
02-06-2010, 01:57 AM
Well I really like the two characters... not sure about the doll... the fire's a nice touch.
But I really like boy and girl. I think you should make them the focus of the piece and figure out what their story is and then how best to show it in the painting.
02-06-2010, 04:09 AM
Consideringthepickle: Yes, the boy and girl will definitely be the focus point, but I'll probably be swarming the screen with details like a fail XD Anyway, if worst comes to worst, there's always the magic of cropping. Watch me go, haha.
02-06-2010, 04:50 PM
Added a few dolls-siamese twins, oh yeah. Details on the boy and girl, changed their positions somewhat. Also, need to find a reference for holding hands. Nobody paints that much, do they? It's a pain.
02-06-2010, 09:53 PM
I liked the boy and girl pair of the last concept, and wanted to focus on them. A softer style, lots of airbrush :) I'll work both the concepts on and off and see which turns out better.
02-06-2010, 10:02 PM
Last concept, imo is best. Very nice atmosphere
02-07-2010, 03:29 PM
Just fleshing stuff out. Airbrush is nice to sketch with, but painting over it is always a pain.
RaVirr: Yeah, I'm working on this and starting to like it best, too. XD We'll see how long that lasts.
02-07-2010, 08:50 PM
Just going along with the idea, fancying fancy clothes, defining the head at feet of the children...
02-08-2010, 08:11 PM
Not much to say here. Details on the head there. Yeesh, these children are creepy.
02-08-2010, 08:20 PM
Boy and girl face are very similar. You should differentiate them a bit..But mood is still fantastic;)
02-09-2010, 12:49 AM
Ravirr: Haha, yeah, they're meant to be fraternal twins so they should look a bit alike XD Hope I can preserve the mood, I like it, too.
02-09-2010, 08:17 PM
Thought I should add some brighter colors into the mix. Maybe thinking of giving the little boy a freddy glove. That would be cool--and elm street was a b-movie. Scared me, though o_o
02-11-2010, 03:03 PM
Kind of a really short example of how I work. She kinda lost that dreamy look, I like how her lips turned out XD Mostly, I airbrush the sides of her face and detail the center, so it looks unfocused enough to be realistic.
02-12-2010, 01:24 AM
Touching up the doll's face. Getting to work on the grass. Hating it already XD
02-13-2010, 02:12 AM
I shouldn't have put grass in a painting. Stupid me.
Took the red out, it was a bother. Just, lots of detail work.

02-20-2010, 02:44 PM
Changed the background from a house to some shadowy figures, darkened the lower part of the picture and brightened the top, to, I guess, make the contrast sharper. Probably will add font, soon, just cruising on the details right now.
03-13-2010, 11:42 PM
Hemlock and white butterflies.
03-14-2010, 08:58 PM
A lot of airbrush to change the general color scheme. Butterfly rendering. Hand hurts.
03-19-2010, 02:25 AM
Nothing much to say.
03-19-2010, 02:42 AM
IT'S DONE :)
03-19-2010, 02:43 AM
LaLandon lives with his aging aunt. His twin sister Lulu is crazy. But they've released her on good behavior. They think she's cured.
Shortly after Lulu is released from the psychiatric ward, strange things begin to occur in the apartment and the disfunct family moves to the rural town of Lodstone. The supernatural scares only progress in nature.
There, it seems, the twins had been wanted all along.
The phenomenon of Doll.
03-19-2010, 05:42 PM
whoa this looks creepy. Similar to these japan horror films.. End result looks nice.Good luck
03-19-2010, 10:15 PM
Thanks serio :) It was kinda inspired by the tale of two sisters, that korean horror, and the nightmare on elm street series. And twins are always creepy XD
