I exported my fbx file out of mudbox, but when I open it in maya and go to render in mental ray it says:
// Error: (mental ray) : ...a/flarg.fbx-files/Default Material_hair_paintLayer_u4_v1.tif: file format subtype or version not supported //
This is only 2k map of an 8 bit tiff that was generated out of mudbox. I am running on a mac. I always thought maya could render tifs? Anyone have a solution... has anyone run into this before?
