View Full Version : Attach to surface in 3D max

I've been stuck at this for a while now, I didn't seem to do it with path or patchdeform, so I'd thought I'd just ask.

My situation is like this:

I'm trying to make a mini-planet. On the surface I'm trying to place all types of rocks and buildings. My question is if there is a method in 3D max to position these assets on the surface with the geometry of the assets bending according to the planet geometry?

Try compound object scatter, the attachment constraint or PFlow.
