View Full Version : Character male Simon
ok this thread is currently in the w.i.p but i need more focused comments so here goes
ive done alot of tweaking on this its once again going to be for my demo reel so it has to be good i need ya comments and crits i still have to put the ears in so dont worrry about the side a ear will be there the way i model it all i have to do is extrude it out so other then that what do you guys think still have to tweak the eye area
After thinking about it i came up with his character design finally.
This guy will be abig burly type guy who is just huge! i mean big hes the type of guy who has a proble because his size is so intimidating(spelling). As you may have figure his name is simon he may look big but he likes the simple things and can be sweetheart just dont PiSS HIM OFF!! ill have to post up some drawing but i think im going have him wear a a undershirt with sapenders holding up j his pants as well as big clunky shoes and black gloves with the fingers cut out of them . Im going for the big bouncer type mafia solider look ok there you go enjoy

He looks cool so far. I guess you'll be animating him? you should be careful on how you skin the shoulders.
I like this face though he looks like a too kind a person to be a mafioso ...
yea he does look kind but thats the point i think ill have him look that way but he wont be in the mafia per- say but the clothes he wears will have that feel overals and a tee shirt (wife beater )
hey well not much of an update been busy with school but since this model is a side project i i havent had much time to tweak it as much as i wanted to started on the arms trying to get correct muscle structure so i started to flesh the arms out

As for the design, if you want him to be tough make him edgier, give him sharper elents like jaw etc.
If you want to make him look massive, make his head smaller, the proportions now make him look too young, soft.
Have you got designs that you're working from?
As for modeling, I think you have more polys than you need for that level of detail. Makes working the model more difficult. (or is that a subdiv level?)

Thats a really dense mesh? is that what your working with? or is there a lower res cage you model with?
Also, as the rules state, Please dont show rendered wires, screenshots are needed...so no shaodws and such.
its a low res version of the smoothed version with a wire over it with no smoothing on the iterations at 1 if that make sense um i can post what the low poly version really looks like that not what it is actually
