View Full Version : Help in Head Modelling and Armor Modelling

Hello guys, I'm asking again for your help since I'm having trouble with two things : Head and Armor

First : Head Modeling
I've been trying a lot of tutorials and even studying, trying to make a head by myself, the best result i got was today with box modeling with reference ( he still has no ear, since i want to fix this problem before completing the head ) :

I don't know if it's a good or a bad result but i know that i improved a lot from my first attempt and i liked this result pretty much. But something is weird for me when i look at the front view :

I can't figure out where is the problem and how to fix it, maybe it's the forehead or the eyes but i can't find a way to make it look good in front view.

If you guys can help me, thank you in advance.

Second : Armor
A while ago i was doing some kind of a death knight, i had no problems with the body and with the head ( since his eyes was the only thing that would appear, the rest would be armor ) but i got really frustrated when trying to model the armor, it didn't look like an armor, it looked like a cloth in armor-form, it didn't have the hardness from the armor and also some places looked like it was, to say the least, a damaged armor ( as if it was smashed at some places, which i circled red ). That's because i never found a tutorial or even some hints on doing armor, so i had no idea how to start, if you can help me at it, i would really appreciate also.

Thank you in advance again!

For the shoulder area on the armor, give the edges more space between each other. The closer you have 2 edges together the sharper the corner/surface will be.

The nose obviously is wrong.
Below the eyes the skin goes forward like a balcony.
The face is flat.

I don't think the nose is wrong, just not finished. I think you'll need a few steps more. Check out these posts:

If there are a few terms mentioned that you don't understand, than I suggest you read the whole thread.
