in zbrush, i imported a model from maya and sculpted on it. when i was sculpting, i was always using symmetry. now, i'd like to retopo it by clicking on a zphere->rigging->select my mesh->topology->edit topology
however, when i make the quads, they dont appear on the other side, so to speak, symmetry is not working. i don't know why this is but its definitely checked on under Transform->Activate Symmetry (I tried all different axes, just in case)
Is there something I missed or whats going on?
