View Full Version : Trying to achive that Technicolor look with DFX+.

Hello, everyone,

I received my DFX+ today. It's nice to work with, altough the toolbar looks so empty compared to the DF demo...

Anyways, before I start learning DFX+ systematically I wanted to experiment a little and tried to achive the technicolor look that was mentioned in this thread (, where someone posted the link following link where it is shown for inferno or flame:

I tried to do the same in DFX+, the resulting flow is attached. But the image going into my Technicolor-group looks exactly like the one coming out. Could this be due to the 8-bit per channel color depth of DFX? Or did I do something wrong in the translation between the two applications?

Hmm, well looking at the article posted, and what you've done it looks correct. All I can suggest is that the multiply/lighten modes between inferno and DF are some how different. Only the developers could tell you the diference.
