View Full Version : Curve goalU for particles with constant velocity ?

I have a curve with cvs not equally spaced, and I like to have particles follow it with a constant speed increasing goalUPP, ie not going faster between closer cvs and slower between more distant cvs.

Is there a simple way to do this ? When animating an object along a path, it has the behavior I want, with parametric length unchecked.

Since my curve is linear with very sharp angles (a broken line), rebuilding it with uniform mode doesn't work well, I need lots of cvs and then it slows down a lot maya with the particles.

edit : just understood how I could rebuild the curve manually and set the knots values with the curve mel command, that should work.
