View Full Version : Missing Mental Ray Materials in Maya 2010

I am using Maya 2010, and noticed that, while following along with a tutorial, the mental ray material like "mi_car_paint_phen" are not listed from this menu:

Rendering Menu
Lighting/Shading>Assign New Material

There should be a long list of mi shaders between Volume Shader and Automatic Attribute Editor, all of which are Mental Ray shaders (I believe), but there are not.

In my Mental Ray Shader Editor, all boxes are Loaded (from AdskShaderSDKWrappers.mi to surfaceSampler.mi). The Auto Load boxes are greeyed out, but checked.

Am I doing something wrong??

have you tried unloading and reloading your MR plugin?
