Lighting/Shading>Assign New Material
There should be a long list of mi shaders between Volume Shader and Automatic Attribute Editor, all of which are Mental Ray shaders (I believe), but there are not.
In my Mental Ray Shader Editor, all boxes are Loaded (from AdskShaderSDKWrappers.mi to surfaceSampler.mi). The Auto Load boxes are greeyed out, but checked.
Am I doing something wrong??
