“Jupiter Room” is an abstract interpretation of the music that mixes live action with CG.
Shot in one day, the five-minute video involved a green screen shoot of two dancers who freestyled a body popping / locking dance, captured in a continuous fifty-foot tracking shot.
After the edit, all green screen was removed and replaced with a CG ground plane and animated LEDs (which move in sync with the music). 3D models of the dancers were created so the animated LEDs could run-up the their bodies.
A swirling sky, as well as lightning flashes and creature contact lenses were created in post.
The result is appropriately otherworldly; a Jupiter Room with incredible atmosphere.
