View Full Version : No more 0.45 for gamma correction?

11-09-2009, 01:34 PM
It seems maya2010 has been solved the linear gamma issue.
No need to enter 0.455 in frame buffer or connect a "gamma correction" node for each sorcefile.
The new mentalray will auto-detect the image's type.
Is this ture?

I'm certain that if AD had incorporated a nice linear lighting workflow into Maya 2010, it would have been advertised, hyped, and made a huge deal about. Since that never happened, and there are no other actual improvements to Maya 2010 other than new logo graphics, you can be certain this isn't true.
