Well deserved front page ^^
I spent last evening to go through all your site, and read about Planktoon over the net', since I wanted to know more. I really liked your idea of "collective artist", and the result is amazing, like the others commercials with different members of the family.
In fact I didn't know that was your work, but at the risk to sound like a fan (:blush ), I take the opportunity to tell you that it was a real pleasure to watch a commercial on TV (entertaining, top quality especially...), you must be a group of passionate people.

Haha a christmas commercial with the french voice of Marcus Fenix from Gears of War xD
Great animation by the way. Congratulation.

Thank you for all your great comments!

Lovely work guys, great sense of timing with a lot happening quickly whilst still managing to give the characters enough time to pause on the beat and say.... whatever they're saying! This is particularly strong as they parachute out.

Good stuff!

Both great animation work (animation and everything). The june girl is cute too :) and the skater s*cks, or he has master in catching girls haha!
Congrats guys!

About the christmas one, I still have one question: that blond reindeer (? Rangifer tarandus, le renne quoi) O_o ... Is that Guile haircut or...? XP

Hi guys, congrats to all the teammates who works on this commercial. It was pretty fun. FOr more info about the technical aspect of the commercial, all the cg was done in maya 2008, rendering with renderman studio 1.0 and pro server with a custom pipeline and custom shaders in slim. We used the amazing point based technic instead of raytracing for everything (Global illumination, HDRI, occlusion reflection) to render in HD on windows 32 bits. Compositing was achieved in nuke with custom tools too.
