Does anyone calculate disk based DMaps for their lights, then reuse them for final render to avoid having to recalculate them? IF so, how do you set it up. I can't seem to get MR to reuse dmaps; at least I don't see a gain in render time.

RM works like that, but it seems I've never seen this done in a Mental Ray pipeline.
