View Full Version : Help with merging into single mesh

Hi guys, im having a bit of trouble.

I have modeled up a vehicle, however it is made up of many..many different parts. To rapid prototype it into a physical model, i need to merge them all into a single mesh, however as predicted, Boolean Union is not working so well.

Does anyone know a better way to achieve this? or even a program? Thanks!!

Hmm, at least you should say which software you use... Also, I think it depends on your meshes. Booleans work well on some meshes, but they may not work at all on other meshes.... so give us some more info, maybe some screens, etc....

Well in 3d max you use the attach tool...its that simple. Intersecting airtight meshes are fine for 3d printing...if thats what you're wondering.
