View Full Version : how to get face index or position by uv?

it's a simple question:when i have gotten the uv of a point on a poly mesh,how can i get the face index there,or how can i get the normal there?
and the world position there?
i need these information.
is there a command for this?

Have you tried using the closestPointOnMesh node?

Aikiman:closestPointOnMesh node gives out the uv or the position info when you specify a mesh and a world position out of the mesh.but i don't know how to get info like position or normal when i having the uv info...
could you explain that more clearly? Thanks a lot...
