I haven't done much with vehicles so, I'm gonna model a Mi24-hind helicopter. I'm wanting to know a rough estimate of what the polycount would be for a in game Mi24-hind for xbox 360

All depends...for a forerground model I'd say 15.000 triangles should be enough to get a decent lowpoly.
