i modeled a base mesh of a character in Maya. I selected all the Objects at once (it were several objects, like body,belt,cape,shoe) and exported as an .OBJ.
Then, I imported the OBJ to Zbrush, pressed a few times CTRL+D and sculpted a bit. This is how its looking now:
I want to export it as an OBJ now again to work with it in Maya again. Unfortunately, I cant work with a 100k poly object on this machine. So, I pressed SHIFT+D a few times to bring it back to low-res mode. When I export the mesh now from Zbrush and import it into Maya, all the details like folds etc. are gone of course.
I read about "mapping" but I didnt udnerstand how to do it and what it is. Could somebody explain it to me and help me out in my specific case?
