View Full Version : Animating camera in Y Axis?

10 October 2009, 12:57 PM
alright, i must be blind or really incapable of doing so, but if some one could be kind enough to point out why is it difficult to animate a camera in vue (7.2) in the Y axis...

say for example id like the camera to fly down (perpendicular to the ground, looking at the x axis continuously) from above the clouds, pass through them and touch down.

Am i missing any options in the camera's motion drop down's? do i need to track something? i mean all i need to do is move the camera up and down, but vue pulls up the entire animation wizard and hardly gets me anywhere for this purpose...

Any help is much appreciated!

Select your camera and toggle the height lock? There is an option in there to force the camera to remain a certain height above the terrain.

This option is located in the translate, rotate, scale section....

Hope that's it....
