Batman Phase

Made some changes on the perspective, Thxs Matthew.

Hey I saw you changed the perspective, nice. :)
Remember to think solid forms on objects, this way detail follow the form and becomes more cylinder shaped if they point towards you, also if they point away from you.
You have that in the Batman character but I guess the cylinder shape could be more visible, hard to explain.
it's a matter of angle aswell.

I can show it in an overpaint if you want?

I agree with Mattias, but it's allways better to realize that theory during drawing. And for exactly this purpose is where you can sketch figures in various angles, poses, perspectives; and without too much thinking about the theory, just by seeing and drawing and focusing on feeling the form rather than redrawing every finger, or facial features, just try feeling the form in space. If you keep doing this it will be of golden value. Once you realize you're becoming better, you are already much much better than you actually think. Don't cease to paint things you are painting now, just add this practice to your schedule list and be patient. And on the top of all, you really don't need to show things that you don't like, protect your enthusiasm as much as possible.
cu buddy :)

hey Mattu,

after browsing through your thread I made that quick overpaint over your master chief image. I hope you don't mind. What I tried is to give more depth to the image. The mountains get more blueish the farther away they are and I set the mountains more so they flow with the perspective lines. And I put the victim more in to the center of intresst. Since alle the lines are now pointing at it. I hope you can use these things in your next images. Keep em comming

Thank You Guys so much for the helpful feedback!!! You guys are great, I'm really gonna try to kick it into gear and put out some more work. Matthew as always I don't mind if you want to over paint my work. I learn better from seeing what changes you make so I can improve on.

Siiilon thank you for your words of wisdom :wise: .

TedNindo thank you for showing me how to make my work better with perspective lines

Again Thank you so much guys :applause:

ok might not have time today but am gonna try tomorrow for the overpaint.

U know you might find this link below helpful, I know I did back in the days.
....Really old stuff and I was really surprised the owner of the site saved it online. Amazingly cool that it is saved.
He used to do mechas and stuff.
I was really into robots and stuff when I started out. :)

oh my oh my this is a bad overpaint, starting to get tired.

thinking solid forms about everything helps you with light and shadow too, when it comes to characters arms and legs helps you if you to think of them as cylinders.
You will be able to see that thing when you have a lot of mileage.
If an arm points towards you or if it points away from you as I said previously.

sorry for the bad overpaint, the tutorial above is better to browse through.
keep it up. :)

Just a quick sketch from a game I played.

I had a Space Trooper theme in my mind for a while and couldn't figure out how best to get the idea I had on my mind to my laptop, so heres what I came up with. Sketched it out on paper then scaned it in, added a little color to flush out some of the details.

Sorry guys for not being on here, just been so busy lately. Got a quick one today.

Sorry all for my absents. I've been playing assassin's creed 2 and I love it!!! Can't manage to make enough time playing it and doing some sketches, but I have made a few.;)

I made a self portrait of myself before ac2 came out. Here it is.

And here is a few quick sketches from the game that I really love playing. Only did about 10 mins on each before going back to play the game.:argh:
