Does anyone know how to make it?

I try to use maya fluid to make it, but volume axis field doesnt work, hard to push fluid away from center.

Is there someone could help?

But I saw your youtuber link, there is nothing I want. It just looks like a wind tunnel test.

They used Softimage for it, so I would assume some sort of ICE effects -> particles to make sure the pc/xbox can process without too much work.

check it out, they use softimage for charactor model and rigging, the "pocan" was made by FumeFx.

I hope someone could make a maya fluid way.

I love Street Fighter xD,probably the best fighting game in history and Ryu is my favorite char :>.
So anyway this is my vision for his "abuket" made with fluids :>.

p.s Hope you will like it :>.If somebody can help me make it even better(with advices that is)pls feel free to tell me :>.

Damn its time for some Street Fighter II xD.

I tryed to import my haduken sim in Street Fighter IV footage,so check it if you want :>.
I will try to work on Dhalsim's yoga Inferno or yoga fire magic now :> xD.If I make smth will post it here :>.
Sry for the bad quality T_T.

p.s It's made with fluids :>.Fluid res is preaty low tho T_T.

Edit:Aaaam I make realy quick 2 in 1 clip with both footage so you dont have to waste 15 sec to watch the original :>.

I think that's a very good start! I haven't played SF in a while, but seems like a good
job overall. Hard to tell because of the video quality, but seems like you're on the right track!

It will be cool to see you push the resolution of the fluid containers.

I was thinking for more swirl maybe xD :>.Anyway I think this will be the final result T_T,not becouse I dont wana play with it,but just my PC wont handle more res or other adjustments :>.During this rendering maya crash 2-3 times O_o xD(I love my crapy pc (kiss) xD ).

Great start! I think it needs more breakup at the front, but the ending looks really good.

i think you are kind of missing the spirit of the original because you arent constrained by the game engine.

in the original the fireball is a discrete graphical element with its own origin and its animated with code to move from start to finish, making an exploson "flash" when it hits the character...

what you have is a fluid sim that constantly grows, it doesnt really move with its own discrete center, so you cant really use that to hit a target that might vary in distance.

also i wouldnt use fluid rendering for this, this might look cooler with a deforming mesh using an incidence shader, maybe couple taht with fluids, but its a really cell shaded kind of look, what you have is more of a smoke volume (or a pipe if you will). doesnt have that nice chunkiness.

I didnt try to copy the original(I'm not that good xD).I just try to make Haduken how I see it in my mind :>.For me it was always more like a plasma thing than a fire (like they've done it in original Street Fighter IV).
I try to make it with fluids,becouse the pearson who start the topic say something about fluids thats all :>.
Phix314 you are right I will (probably xD)try to put some more swirl to it and will see what will happen :>.
Stooch I used this clip that I made from Street Fighter IV and just add my project from maya to After Effects(I just start to learning After Effects this is actualy my 1st project xD).
You are right if the target moves it wont hit it corectly :>.This is just 2 different rends that I make.I put the correct distance in maya,rend it and put it in After effects thats all :>.

yes i know what you are trying to do. although i just wanted to let you know that what you see in your mind isnt necessarily applicable to a game since it has limitations... if you have your mind to working on games you might want to take this into account. but if you are just doing this for fun then have at it.
