View Full Version : Demo Scene

This is a scene from my short demo piece. It's essentially an action romp. Comments and critiques about the weight/acting would be appreciated!

I have no intentions of being a cloth simulator, so ignore any problems with the crappy hair/dynamics.

Thanks a lot!

I'm very doubtful about the notion of camera shake just from swinging a sword at something. :curious:

Swinging a telephone pole or the Washington Monument... maybe... but a sword... I'd vote "no".

Fair enough. Barring that, though - any critiques on the motions?

I'm re-keying my earlier scene. This one has more stepped keys in it still, so keep that in mind. It's all stepped keys, actually, except for a few 2 frame linear tweens.

I was more specific on the overlap of Hip->Back->Shoulders->Arm->Sword. Still haven't done facial stuff yet.

Let me know what you guys think!

The linear stand up bothers me, but you warned me!

When he's finally stood up, his back is in the same curve he had while he was rising which looks rigid. It's not a bad pose, but it's like the back was locked in that same curve all the way up.

The way the whole back rises up together at the very start is a bit weightless. There's a bit of overlap and lag halfway up, but the start was wher eit was needed more

This is probably a bad angle to see the side-to-side sword motion. There's not much apparent arc to it from this vantage.

Those are my quick obs :wise:
