View Full Version : My demo animation can use some critique

09 September 2009, 09:49 PM
Hi all, I am happy to be here and receive feedback from my peers in the field. Here are a few pieces that will be in my demo. Please, all constructive criticism is encouraged, because I really want to improve my skills to be a good animator just like the rest of you. Thank you all for your support and feedback.

These are all much more complicated than can be crtiqued in sentence or two.

As far as the premises, the second one is the best. I don't understand the third.

One general error I notice is "isolated motion". Basically this is when one body part moves and the body part it is attached to is unaffected by that motion. Like a hand rotating while the arm is motionless.

I realize this is a first pass, but since you're keying the bones anyway...might as well not build that problem into your blocking.

OK, i'm past my two sentence limit. ;)

I see what you mean, it would be better to get the body's full motion reaction during the early blocking. Thanks, i appreciate the feedback.

It's been awhile but I finally got around to cleaning up my animations some more. I still would like any feedback and critiques that my industry peers have to offer so let me know what you think. Thanks all
