View Full Version : Bender's Mouth - strange artifacts

Hi. I'm modeling Bender from the Futurama cartoon, and i'm having some trouble with the mouth. I've created a poly sphere and cut it in half, extruding the bottom edges to create the head (which is a cylinder with a 1/2 sphere on top).
When i cut the faces to create the hole for the mouth, this occurs:




How can i fix it, in order to make it look like this?: http://new.theinfosphere.org/images/4/43/Bender.png

Im not sure i understand what your having a problem with.

but rather than cutting faces wouldnt it be more efficient if you extruded them then deleted the unnecessary faces? that imo would make better edgeflow and less work for you.
