View Full Version : Maxwell - Ligthing and shading tips?

Hi folks,

Im new user of maxwell and I didnt find out yet how to make photorealstic scenes. I know that the sectert of maxwell is in lighting and shading. Maybe some of you could share his tips about it?

For example I have used only one light emiter here:

And some simple shaders. Why it dosent look good? I dont mean now the noise - i wasnt patient enough to wait another 20 h.

Frankly speaking, it looks realistic (and proves my point maxwell does provide more realistic results). But the reflection is way too strong, and the metal texture does not follow the form: you need a more careful mapping and texturing. The overall texture saturation is a bit too high to my taste.

I will fix this what you say in my next update.

And yes, maxwell is fantastic, I was using vray very long time but I could get good results:/ Maxwell is esier to make photorealistic stuff.
