View Full Version : Normal Map Problem

Hi all!

Iīm having a problem generating some Normal Map for my soldier. I have some subtools, and for some of them, the Normal Map is generated perfectly, but, with the same configuration, it generates just crappy Normal maps for other subtools. Here the pic: (

Anybody knows why does the Zbrush make those weird wrinkles?? Any help would be really appreciate.

I am not sure that this is what is happening but it could be that your UVs are messed up.

You may have to:

1. re-export your model as an .OBJ

2. open up the .OBJ in your modelling software application (Max or Maya)

3. re-export it back into ZBrush.

There are several topics that cover bad UVs in Zbrush Central ( Go there and ask this question. Maybe you will find the solution you seek there.

i bet its from ur uv's
go to max and choose unwrap modify 4 ur model
then click edit
in edit window press 3 key on keyboard go to selection panel and choose 2 last . if any segment becomes red fix that by moving vertexes.

thanks for the comment, but I use XSI, so I canīt do that. Anyway, I have checked the Uvīs and everything seems to be fine. Im just getting mad.
