View Full Version : Maya Lighting

This may be a stupid question, but a Maya book I have purchased has nothing on this. What I am trying to do is "animate" a spot light. All i want to do is change the cone angle over the course of my animation. Is there a special kind of keyframe or something I need to use? I think it should be relatively simple but like I said theres nothing in my book about it. Thanks in advance!

Hey Cameron,

Welcome to CGTalk! I would've posted this in the General Maya forum, you might've gotten a quicker response.

Right click the box with your cone angle value in it (defaults to 40) and "Set Key". Go to later in the sequence, change the number, and set key again.

just a quick note for you... most all attributes in maya can be keyed in the same way.
Just for all the Newbies to maya.
