Title: Mitsubishi Fridge - Prison Break
Name: VHQ post KL
Software: Maya , Mental Ray , After Effects , Photoshop
Mitsubishi Prison Break is a 30 second , Fully Animated TVC created by VHQ post .
The Spot was heavily focused on three fully animated characters - Bak Choy , Carrot and Tomato . They are trying to escape from an hazardous old fridge to the new Mitsubishi fridge equipped with the latest technology - " vitamin factory " which believed to be capable of restoring the freshness of vegetables .
The spot was created from scratch in one and a half month's time including pre-production till post production . It was quite a laborious task due to the various highly detailed environments.

Such a brilliant commercial! I like the whole idea of it. But I think the establishing shot at the very beginning could be a little bit longer though and maybe you could show the old refrigerator as a whole instead of just half of it in order to portray how dodgy the place they're living in. Nevertheless, very well done and I like the tomato. :D

Thanks for the comments julian :D
I am totally agree with you on the establishing shot and idea of revealing more on the old fridge s' messy environment if we are allow to lengthen the duration of the TVC .
Due to the requests from the agency and client , we have no choice but to shorten the duration and slotted in all of the shots within this 30s . :(
I will definitely come up with our own director s' cut version someday :D

Hi Guys... Super cool stuff and awesome animation! You guys rock!
The only thing i will comment is to put the fridge shot as the establishing shot, i think it will tell the story better.

wow, finaly post the work here. This is a very interesting experience to handle animation for this job. The challenging part of this job is about we need to show the different characteristic in a very short duration TVC. This is not perfect for me but I enjoy in this job. Hopefully sooner or later will have more interesting animation job like this.
Thx for all comments as well ~ :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

It's a cool thing you and your team mates have achieved. Great Job! I kind of agreeing with Loon2875 that putting the old fridge as an establishing shot will tell the story better. Don't worry about the time length. You can establish the old fridge in the beginning scene and then fade into the next scene, as it is zooming into the fridge. By doing that, i don't think scene 5 is necessary anymore, the part where you can save some time length. The animation is so cool i have to say. Yet, do you think the scene after the characters were hiding away from the human, maybe the last character can turn in from the corner of the fridge? Do you think that will show better continuity?
All and all, bravo, mate! Hope to see more work from you soon.
P.S. maybe the director's cut?

Hi Stein ~
Thank you so much for your comments , really appreciate your time and efforts in going through every scene and interpreting those details in your comments and suggestion . :D
I have discussed with my team and we are totally agree with loon and your suggestion in putting the old fridge as an establishing shot .
Moreover ,we are very thankful for pointing out the problem in the conti shots when they are running away from the human . In fact we were trying to convey the message of those shots in a non sequential manner and opps we failed to do that . haha
Hmmm .. maybe it was the mistake of having the similar BG for those 2 shots . . okay , we will try to fix that problem asap .
Once again ~ thank you for the supportive and helpful feedbacks . Hope we will improve from all the comments given by you all .
