View Full Version : WIP: Dreadnaught - Paint job and IK rig [update]

01-15-2002, 12:01 AM
I hooked up some IK, animated a quick little test, and gave him a new paint job. I think some of the IK settings still need a little work, but I'm excited about how it's looking so far. What do you think?

(I know the motion looks goofy, I just wanted to test him out. :p )

looks really great ! although i think that the medieval looking flag on it's back doesn't really match with the rest of the overall look. maybe you could give him some similar detail on the body, (engravings, i dunno !)

WOW! thats exactly how i imaged a warhammer 40k dreadnaught to move. Very nice texturing job as well. What did you use to model/render/animate this? :)

i always wanted my wh 40k figs to move around on the table. thanks for making this! that is one bad ass dreadnaught. if anything i would have the flag be brighter, more flamboyant. im sure though it matches with his army. lets see some fire come out of those barrels.

I think the modelling and textures are wicked but for something that's probably as big as an elepant, the movement seems a bit too snappy.

Not too fast, but with so much weight, he wouldn't be stopping and starting so abrubtly.

Beautiful work though. How'd you do it? huh? huh?

It's very nice!!! The IK looks pretty good imo. Just 1 little critique :P Plz render in divx next time. Quickmovie SUX (Can't even go fullscreen and updating stinks) ^_^

And it crashes my system 30% of the time i use it

hey, cool! Warhammer stuff rocks, and you did a great job on this bad boy. How about getting those guns firing?

wew that simply ROCKS!
and, hehehe, I also like the motion. imagine such a giant (it's a giant, isn't it?) moving on a battlefield this way. :D would be funny to se that. maybe sneaking around. :D

jobbe- dreadnaughts are supposed to be about 7-8 feet tall. According to the warhammer 40k universe, they are controlled by the brains of fallen heroes who have seen countless battles.
