07-31-2003, 03:19 AM

:applause: :applause: :applause:

07-31-2003, 03:48 AM
very very nice i am very jealous. Great job.

07-31-2003, 03:57 AM

It took a while do download, but it was worth it!

I think the knife sheath should have been flat against her leg instead of sticking out like that though.

keep up the good work:D

07-31-2003, 04:25 AM
Wow, nice image. Very well built porportional looking.
Only problem.... why the heck is the image so huge! No need for it to be that large a file.
But really great work
Mike Fitz

07-31-2003, 04:59 AM
only a commentary, the background is diffuse ,dark and blue because is secondary in the composition. The main thing is the caracter.Thans for all!!

07-31-2003, 07:29 AM
i very like it is good beautiful picture

07-31-2003, 08:08 AM
...nothing to say....
just your work is GREAT!!!
keep it up!! :buttrock:

07-31-2003, 08:28 AM
her face should be a suitble cool expression, thats will be great better

but prety one, prety details!

07-31-2003, 08:37 AM
I'm so impressed that I could scream :scream:
Really looooovely woman, but a bit frightening, isn't she??
Does the character reminds to any other girl that you personally know?? (he he he...) I just was joking, (sorry)
Now seriously, marvellous work... Keep posting more beautiful images like this one!! :wavey:

07-31-2003, 10:09 AM
Jesus this is so the biggest kickass! Can you imagine a movie surrounding this chick, it would crush tombraider's lara croft like a little fly. There will be a lot o pluggin once the admin's return.:applause:

07-31-2003, 10:35 AM

07-31-2003, 02:04 PM
I have reduced the quality of the image. better to unload?;)

07-31-2003, 07:13 PM
oh yeah, much faster.

07-31-2003, 08:24 PM
Thats absolutely amazing! Thats one hot cyborg chick you got there ;)
How you guys make the lighting and shadows so realistic is beyond me!

07-31-2003, 08:41 PM
Incredible 2D work. Great hair!

07-31-2003, 08:59 PM
When it comes to the line of action I think the head should be looking either right or left and bent slightly to follow, or if you want to keep the straight on look her facial expression might be made to look a little more threating, imho it would suit the image more considering she is crushing some steel cables in her hand.

Having said that I love the knife prop and the left (stage left) hand looks creapily real.

07-31-2003, 10:19 PM
Great image man, lots of energy to it....was it done in photoshop?

07-31-2003, 10:53 PM

08-01-2003, 09:22 AM

I´m your fan right away...

Even though the topic hot babes with guns is not my cup of tea, your skills amaze me, the skin rendering on the hands its outstanding...and again you have an unique still of illuminating...

If all the ppl where you work are half that talented, i´d love to be there, maybe i will... ;)

Would you mind to show us a full res of your avatar img?

08-01-2003, 10:31 AM
I love this request.
He is BOOP the psychopath ice cream vendor. It represents to me very well !!

the image is a sketch for a 3d animator friend .

08-01-2003, 11:21 AM

She reminds me to Angela Channing... hehehehe Just Kidding.

08-01-2003, 02:19 PM

08-01-2003, 03:02 PM

08-01-2003, 03:21 PM
Maybe, maybe...jajajjajaa
"Los caminos del Señor son misteriosos"

08-01-2003, 03:26 PM
Awesome work mate! But dude, she's missing a finger on her robot hand...

08-01-2003, 03:34 PM
Yes! the robotic hand has 4 fingers only, she does not have right hand. A small sacrifice, but she has an extraordinary force!!;)

08-01-2003, 08:55 PM
Nice work exepted that I think right upperarm is little too short...but thats is only my point of view. :hmm: Great work although !!!

08-02-2003, 02:41 AM

08-02-2003, 02:44 AM
puf, brutal tio. esta de cojones

08-02-2003, 03:33 AM
excellent work. I just wish her face wa a little more expressive.
But technically there nothing to say, it's excellent.

08-02-2003, 03:59 AM
Great work. I do agree that she looks bored out of her mind, but the artwork is great. Good job.

08-02-2003, 05:22 AM
Great work I cant wait to se more. The one crit I have is that she doesnt seem to be attached to the environment if you know what I mean. The shadowing around her feet dont give the impression that she is actually standing there.

08-02-2003, 05:44 AM
wow thats awsome
the hair looks very kool indeed
man if only i could do this type of stuff
"YoU rOxorz mY BoXorz"

08-02-2003, 06:35 AM
certainly shet is something boring and tired , she does not have powerful enemies.(the tubes of their hand are of a robot):)

08-02-2003, 06:56 AM
Wow thats one nice composition  However I see a problem with her eyes, it doesn't seemed lined up..almost like one eye is a bit higher than the other.

08-02-2003, 07:25 AM
that's a cool image, oli.

hope you can share with us how you painted it. i'm wondering if good artists like yourself actually take time to plan an image or do you just start sketching away on paper/wacom and let the image paint itself? what's your workflow in creating an image such as this?

hoping to learn a thing or two from you. again, great work. would love to see more.

08-02-2003, 09:30 AM
timshim , good question!!
Mishka is a design of of Amiga computer times !!
I rescued it and I made many sketches, originally she was not human, she had black hair, different clothes...I redesigned it.

I made many sketches in different positions ,different faces and expressions, different scenery and situations, everything in paper and pencil.

the final drawing I directly did it with the tablet.

I wish the best in your work!!

wisdom words: art is never finished, only abandoned ... ...

08-02-2003, 10:47 AM
The whole image is superb!
But her left hand, and her neck is so so so nicely done! Looks so real!
Absolutely fantastic.

08-02-2003, 11:00 AM
Wonderfull hard girl. I´m remember Tulip of the preacher series, but without mech complements.

You use references?.thanks.

Como decimos por aqui, el puto amo.

See ya.

08-02-2003, 12:16 PM

I have to agree with cleptocat. The painting is technically well done but it just seems like you didn't finish or put enough care into the lighting. This piece is too nice not to comment on. If you were gonna bring a digital painting up to this level of finish, you might as well take it all the way. The background is a great atmosphere to it. However, the lighting on her body seems incomplete. For example, the warm light on the gun and her pants should also be edge lighting her left forearm. The rim lighting on her inner thigh should also be seen on the edge of her boot (top half). The red light on the floor between her legs should also definitely be throwing off enough light to create a soft edge light on the heels of her boots. It is the closest light to her body after all.

If there is enough light in the picture to show detail in her lower half, including the reflected light on the boots then there is enough to give subtle indications of a foreground floor instead of black negative space.

As far as the story of the piece is concerned, you went half way. If all you wanted to do was show a figure posed why place wiring in her hand? It would have be a more interesting piece story wise if you had her doing something or about to do something instead of standing in a static boring pose. If she just ripped wires from a robot then show the robot at her feet or behind her. It would have been much more visually interesting to show her looking off in the direction the gun is pointed while holding the wires. At least then the viewer can imagine that someone is coming for her because of something she did.

Just my critique. Please don't get upset. It is a strong piece that could have been more. Felt this would be a better comment than " oh my god you rock!!:buttrock: "

08-02-2003, 05:36 PM
Awesome work, man...What size Wacom tablet do you use?

08-02-2003, 06:17 PM
Very nice picture.:applause:

Check out my thread.

08-02-2003, 09:19 PM
absolutely beautiful, if someone put a knife to my throat and forced me to complain, the only thing would be that the eyes are set at different height. stunning work!

08-02-2003, 09:42 PM
second light source is a win for sure :] I really like this piece, mainly because the colors fit so good together, though they are quiet different. Top notch!

Great job! I am specialy suprized with her left hand. It looks real.

As for a crit. He feet don't seem to settle on the floor right.

08-03-2003, 01:53 AM
it is a beatifull drawing but do get rid of the hand please :D

08-03-2003, 08:02 AM
 Oh, she's so good-looking! Great work

08-03-2003, 11:09 AM
great pose.....

nothing to say....just a great pix....

08-03-2003, 11:16 AM
The tablet sice: a4 , but that is not very important!
the important thing is the pressure levels
I recommend intuos wacom

08-03-2003, 12:31 PM
Eric UNSL,I am not a computer with radiosity render , I put the lights where I consider that they feel well to the image.

originally the background had more importance, but the image is a caracter design

I am not interested in counting a history in this image, only in presenting a caracter.
by the way, there is a robot in the image

thanks to all!

She is beautifull ! :) great painting job :)

08-03-2003, 02:52 PM
I am wondering couple of things about your technique...

Maybe you could throw some light in here...

Which hand do you use for that paintings?

Do you have both eyes opened while painting?

ps:just kidding, bare with me these days in here its way too damn hot... ;)

08-03-2003, 07:44 PM

08-03-2003, 08:31 PM
wow, good work, great job man:thumbsup: :applause:

08-03-2003, 08:59 PM
The only niggle I have with it is that the feet don't appear to be in contact with the floor. Other than that, it's amazing!!

08-03-2003, 10:15 PM
your skill with the wacom is quite impressive! do you use some kind of base draw or reference photo!? or u just pull the details while ur painting...!? im asking because i see that u elaborate many kinds of materials like skin, metal, cloth, hair... very well! im sure u spend a lot of time painting...
great work

08-04-2003, 02:03 AM
Man, she's hot!
I'd like to date her!!

Well... if she got rid of that hand that is...
it scares the hell out of me!

08-04-2003, 02:06 AM

08-04-2003, 12:00 PM
this all painted, first it drawing the line , the main shades and I purify the drawing with details and secondary lights.

but the important thing is to fit the line drawing.

it is important to make previous sketches and color tests

I use hairdo photos reference

thanks for your questions!
