View Full Version : CGSchicago :: T-shirt Competition

07 July 2009, 07:30 PM
So we're having a t-shirt competition to kick off our local contests and get some cool shirts made for our second meeting.

Design for CGSchicago a unique t-shirt that shows off your pride of being a CGS member and a Chicago chapter member. The artwork can be 2D, 3D, complex imagery, or cool minimalist design. Whatever you want to do we want to see it.

Posting Artwork
In the CGSchicago main forum post a new thread like you would for a CGSchallenge.
Example: CGSchicago T-shirt - Tony O'Dell

We ask that you are a member of the CGSchicago group.

If not already a member please follow this link -

To encourage feedback during the design progress we want everyone to see your WIPS. Everything from the basic concept sketches to final production.
Use of the "Atom" symbol from the CGS logo is required. It can be a major design element or a tiny part of the final piece.

EPS versions of the logo are attached at the bottom of this post

The design should be created to work on either a black or a white tshirt.
Please work high resolution.

300 dpi
Max of 10in x 10in

Some resizing for the final printing may be required, but will remain as true as possible to the size you submit.
You, the artist, retain all rights to the final piece, but CGSchicago reserves the right to use final submissions for promotional purposes only. Proper credit will be given if an image is used in this way.

For the Winner
The most important bit that you've all been waiting for. The winner not only gets the admiration from their peers and hearty congratulations at the next CGSchicago meeting (September 18th), but they will also win.

A triumphant t-shirt featuring your winning design
A pristine book from Ballistic

All submissions will be judged by a professional panel of several members of CGSchicago who are exempt from winning the challenge themselves. *dang*

If you have any questions or need clarification please post below and we'll answer them the best we can, or you can message either myself (Taoizm (, Jon (peakyfreak80 (, or Marcus (CGSChicago ( with your questions.

Cheers and best of luck everyone!
