View Full Version : MR physical_dof lens confusion

I'm trying to use MR's Depth of Field shader for the first time but it's not being very intuitive at the moment. I have my object 8.7 units away from the camera, so I plug in -8.7 for Plane and default .1 for Radius. My object is still considerable blurry. I have my Filter Size at 15x15 to smooth the blur.

Doesn't the Plane = my focus point? Maya should have a graphical way to do depth of field at this point, but gonna make work with what we got. Any ideas?

You've set your focal plane behind the camera.
