Howdy. I'm well into production on an untitled short film involving a mouse, a mousetrap, and a robot arm. I've got the set nearly complete, and tried rigging a character, the robot arm, today. I'm just not experienced enough to imbue it with the sort of control set I want. Here's a production shot of a section of the set, and the untextured arm:
The rig will be pretty simple. The only real controls I need (well, would like to have) are some kind of locater control to make the arm look in a certain direction, an IK control for the "scissor lift" part of it, and a spin control for the hand.
