Hi there !
I want to join to the challenge with Jakub Jablonski, Bartek Kik and Krzysztof Rusinek.
"Secret Agent - Mission : Rapunzel"
The story is loosely based on the tale of the princess Rapunzel, imprisoned in a tower. A valiant knight, complete with his trusty steed, comes to her rescue.
After much trial and error, he manages to scale the steep stone wall and gain entry to the princess' chamber.
Up to this point everything goes smoothly, but suddenly a SECRET AGENT comes into play...

We're going for a cartoony, stylised look, inspired a little by the Team Fortress 2 video game.

Good luck everyone !

Great characters! Can almost see then in 3d already. I particularly love the armor for 3d rigging reasons. It looks like it will be easy to rig and animate. Not sure if you were thinking about that but you saved yourself some headaches there for sure. Great drawing and design, I'm trying to guess... Heavy and Sniper? Nice inspiration!

Cool start my friends. I hope You'll be able to finish it in the way You plan :)

CGIsrael - for background we want to use matte painting and cammera mapping (it will be the best solution)

These look so promising. I like very much the illustration style. The blonde guy and the chubby guy with hat are charming. Good luck!

brave steed 2

07-13-2009, 11:26 PM
haha awesome! Man I look at that and just start quoting montey python for some reason. Has so much character. I imagine behind that little steed is the guy making the big horse galoping sounds with coconuts, singing about brave sir robbin!

Great, now i've got the holy grail going through my head:) Model looks great, can't wait to see where you go with him texture wise. Nice job!!!

07-14-2009, 07:35 AM
how have I missed this thread before there are some excellent things, especially the design of the first strong guy.
The start on modeling on the horse is great too.

I like the style you have here, should be a very cute video. I would try sharpening up some of the edges like the jaw line on your horse model to match what you have in your sketch, which I really like.

The 3D adaptation of the concept is amazing.. you are doing great.

Nice work and great concept:) But what can be fought with such a small sword ? Dwarfs?:surprised
I particularly love the horse. He seems to enjoy life a lot :D

Killer Rabbits!!! Seriously though, I agree, I think it would be better if it was "oversized" vs. "undersized". Loving the character, nice job!!!

very nice design, impatient to see it in 3d.

I love the style. It reminds me of a spinoff on disney and tim burton. I hope you capture that aspect of the concept art when it gets created in 3d.

Excellent work so far!

My compliments to Kuba; that really is a great concept tower!

Best regards, Varun
