View Full Version : floze tutorial in 8.5 and 2009 different

When reindering the same scene (the floze tutorial on lighting) in Maya 8.5 and 2009, it is too dark and has a very dark blue tint in 2009. All the settings in physical sky and sun are the same.
No error messages when rendering the 8.5 scene in 2009, just very different output. Anybody knows how to correct this?

Please post an example. That will make it much easier to tell what is going on.

Her are the renderings. As I said, this is the exact same scene rendered and saved in 8.5, then opened and rendered in 2009. It's the scene from the lighting tutorial by floze, and I can't get it to render properly in 2009. I tried everything from upgrading the shaders from mia_material to mia_material_x, changing intensity of physical sun and sky and other things, no success.
Thanks for any help on this.

Bt the sun node, is not in the scene? I think that an upgrade from 8.5 and 2008 for mia_material and sun&Sky. But i don't remember.

Re create the sun&Sky from render setting.

Looks to me like the main light is disabled so you should concentrate on that.
