upss...i received this email a few minutes ago...really interesting.. ;)

Dear Andras,

This email is to let you know that we will be exhibiting Animanium
at the New Tek booth during Siggraph San Diego, from July 29 - 31.

This is a chance for you to get your hands on Animanium and meet
the development team from Japan. Come on over and discover
the potential of Animanium for yourself!

Best regards,

Animanium Support Center

This is good news. Every one on their mailing list got this.

I was wondering though why will they be exhibiting Animanium
at the New Tek booth and not another? Do they have some sort of deal?

I hope this means that Animanium will work very well with LightWave even though I hope to stay within one app.

I think they are working very close to LW.
I was taking a look at CG World magazine here in Japan, and the first two pages were some kind of publicity-announcement from Sega-Animanium. There was an add (is that correct?)on the first page, very clear, saying,: Lightwave plugin adaptor. Written with big letters, and below, with small letters, also for Maya,Max.

I thought was strange.Adaptor?

I wish I could scan and send to you guys.

Yeah I good the same email,
with the same mistake… (SHIGGRAPH):D

Hope there is a partnership between Newtek and Animanium so we can benefit again !!!

They spelt it like that because you can't have the letters S and I next to one another in Japanese. The closest you can come is using the Kana for SHI...

Isn't lightwave pretty big in Japan? It makes sense that a japanese co. make software compatable with the main software in their neck of the woods. In this case LW.

It's interesting that there is no mention of LW on their website - although they do mention Max & Maya.

Well, let's see ... there's now three programs that can be used with LW to do animations:

1) Motionbuilder
2) Messiah
3) Animanium

I hope NT is getting some kind of hint - they all have dopesheets.

Oh yesss, Animanium:love:
*Thinks of a new deal. Get LW + Animanium for just....."*

i mean when i saw animanium the first time, i was really impressed the same for messiah

....so lets see what kind of character features lw8 will provide us...

i am optimistic..

It`s curious. But IMO ,that`s why I think they are working so close to LW.They didn`t need to mention that.Maybe it`s obvious.
And when they mentioned Maya and Max they were trying to say:
" Hey,Animanium is for Maya and Max TOO".

Those Animanium guys will be on Siggraph at Newtek`s booth.
