View Full Version : Problems scaling characters in MAYA

Hi. There have to be an easy way to solve this, but i just can't figure it out...

What I have done is that I have created a rigged character in one .mb file and a scenery in another, and when I import the character to the scenery the dimensions are obviously off, so I try to rescale it... But I just can't get it to scale right. Scaling the rig results in a seriously deformed mesh and scaling the mesh won't work because it's locked by the rig and when I try scaling everything as a group they all scale differently, not relative to each other.

So, what is the right way to do this? Please help :)

Parent everything under a locator. The scale the locator only.

Thanks! It also worked to remove the meshes from the group, someone said. It bacame double transformations when I had them in apperently.
