I agree the other one was missing something. Didnt have the right feel. But the second one you came up with i like more. So is she kinda like a showgirl/ undercover agent? its a neat idea anyways. I like too that in this one its more centered on her as the subject with out the background over ruleing her in the other one. If you have a "mood" kind of lighting like i think your going for , i think this is going to look really good.
Maybe on the left side of the picture where she is aiming the gun, you can have a limp arm with a hand just showing from the bottom side of the page near her foot but not in the light, like she already shot them and their on the floor like the rest, and she is aiming the gun at them still waiting for the last person in the room to finally stop breathing. Or something like that i dunno
I like this idea and interested to see the rest!

I've been thinking about the background, making it plain black is kindda boring so I added the sky to enrich the area plus adding to the mood :) What do you guys think about the sky, or should I do a vegas city scene instead??

By the way, thanks guys for all of your encouraging comments. The last few steps of the process are always the most painstaking...but it's easier when I know there are people who enjoy looking at the work :) Anyways do you guys think I should add more bodies??
06 June 2009, 08:59 PM
Eliminated the closest bodies on the ground becuase I don't feel that their bodies are angled right, I will probably add more on the far ground...Not sure about area closer to her...what do you guys think?????

So I think the back is kindda weird, so I decided to focus on it(after all it is the focus of the piece), I am gonna find more reference and anatomical pics to see what else I need to add or substract. heres an interesting crop I really like

"Meet Mia, the legendary agent who eliminated an entire gang in their stronghold in Chicago during the 70s..."
I knew I wanted a beauty for an agent when I first began to brainstorm for this challenge. The concept took many forms but I finally did find one that I like. I've been quite fasinated by the human back structure lately so I decided to use the back as a focal point of the drawing, from there you will see the elegant line of the body complemented by the brightly colored costume. She is calm, not hurt and ready to put down any men in her way.
I was going to use some sort of vegas scene outside the window and found that it doesn't really work with the image, the cold night sky fits better with this ironic scene. The most difficult part for me was the skin tone, since the scene is quite dramatic in terms of color and lighting composition, the skin tone also has a character of its own; one side warm, the other side cold, adding to it is the flaming feather tail.
I hold you all enjoy this piece and share the sense of pride Mia has of defeating the whole gang on her own with her two vintage gold pistols.
