View Full Version : Shave and haircut and MR - Batch render looks different compared to the render view

I'm using Maya 8.5 with Shave and Haircut V4.5
I'm having the weirdest problem and I cannot find any solution.
I'm rendering Shave hair only Pass, Using hair primitives and detail shadow maps.
all the other object receive black hole matte.

In the "render view" the result looks perfect,
also when I'm saving the image I receive a beautiful hair with a perfect mask.

But when I'm using batch render,
with exactly the same setting the render looks bad, the shadows are spread and grainy..

Can someone explain me what's going on,
and how can i get the exact same result in the batch rendering

posibly renderlayers? Do you have any set-up where you may have forgot to add a object, ie. a light.

or it could be the image type your batching out. make sure its a decent type like TGA or TIFF, and 16bit
