I've just started a new character and i need some advices. Specially about how i can make him looks less silly:p

Don't know what u mean by 'less silly'. its looking fine at the moment. but maybe its too early to tell. u should work on it some more so we can get a better idea of what you're trying to achieve.

You both right. Anyway, i think i've found the problem, the mouth area was too monkeyish. I've tweaked the mouth and nose a little bit.

Head almost done. But I'm not happy with front part of neck, it's too dense here. I'm planning to merge a few poins under the chin. Does it generate smoothing troubles when animate?

The fist human ear i've ever made, ladies and gentlemen. Modelling ear was more easier than i've expected, but connecting it to the head was a nightmare. And still needs some work. :annoyed:

Edit : And i've just seen the bottom part is connected to wrong place :banghead:

The only thing better that I can see in the second [gray] picture is that his nose is better defined.

I reckon, however, that the first [blue] one has potential for a lot more character then the second as he has a certain look to him whereas the second one looks a lot like an average guy.

Please forget whay i said at last post, it seems head not finished yet. I've put a temporary texture to eyes, and saw eyes are too wide.

Morlankey: Thanks. I think you're right, but 2nd is more handsome :p Maybe i do something between these two versions. And yes, i will give him a body, i will texture and skin him.

He's definately looking better than he did.

I'm curious about the area behind his ear. It could just be shadows, but it looks like there is a depression behind his ear that shouldn't be there.

Anyhow, nice model, keep :wip:

its looking good, few things i notice:

the pelvic area on the back looks like its coming out too much with a line where the pelvis is. in the middle it actually goes in. also right above that noticing two bumps that dont look right. and the elbow also is looking wrong. would also like to see a little more definition in the tricep area. :buttrock:

Hello people. After a long break, i'm back to modeling this guy.


I've tried to follow the leg musclature, but the result was a crap. :annoyed: So i've decided to keep it simple. Still needs lots of work. 3802 quads so far.
