View Full Version : image file filter and animation.

i personaly prefer to use no filters in my image file nodes and if i want to blur them i just do that in motion blur so i get perfect control on everything.
Now i heard that when rendering an animation this can cause "texture swimming".
does anyone have any exemples?

i did a quick test (2 animations) with filter on (mimap) and the other with filter off.
(rightclick save as)
i didn't notice any changes, only some subttle flickering in the backrounds rugs.

so is this the artifact that you get when you don't use filtering in textures?
