What's the best workflow?
I tried using the Mental Ray Approximation Editor, but the object disappears during the render (renders fine without that node). Looking thru the posts here, I see that there are problems with it. I did add the render attribute using:
addAttr -ln miExportCCMesh -at bool mentalraySubdivApprox1
but it didn't help.
So, if we set that aside, what's the most elegant workflow when using smoothing?
Is there a simple way to display a smoothed mesh at a low division level and render at a higher one?
