Have you tried looking at the presets that ship with LightWave?

07 July 2003, 01:36 PM
out of curiosity how do you load a preset? do you mean one of the procedural textures?

RTM!!! ;)

Open up the presets panel and double click on the preset you want. You will be asked if you want to apply the preset, say yes.

Hope that helps

You know, if you explain it then there's no incentive to RTM, no matter how many "!"s you use.

I have to keep reminding myself that some people may be using the discovery edition without the manual before I start screamin piracy... But either case, get the freakin' PDF manual off Newtek's site.

I don't think he's interested in the manual unless it costs $6000 to purchase :p

OK, now that the war is ended, RIGHT!?! Did you figure out how to get the effect you want with the presets or do you need more info. If so let me know what your looking for and I'll be happy to help you out. FWIW's I'm sorry to hear about the problems your having with your dad.

Hi Shock take a look at the Lux site you might find something there to work with

Preset Central is also good but I'm not sure if the site is still online??

There was a war? Damn, I missed it.

Shock: Your excuse did not account for MattClary's point that you could get the manual online. I merely reminded you of that point in his posting and that somehow irritated you. Would that be a correct assessment of what happened? Am I mistaken?

I would think if you can go online and ask a question, you can go online and get the manual. Am I wrong about that, too?
