Hello guys!
here is my latest work, a model of a realistic rooster, with feathers, fully working wings, lots of feathers and even the interior of the mouth. all done in max 2008, here is the link to the video (click on the image below)
http://luima.com/rooster/sc.jpg (http://luima.com/rooster/pollito_HD_480p.mov)

i did all the modeling, texturing, rig and simulations. bingostudio did all the animations, compositing and render for the commercial.

here is the refference we had.
it took us like a month to pull it off. we learned a lot of new stuffs, at the begining of the project i didnt knew that max could do convincing feathers (using hairfx of course) but it came out really good :D. enjoy.

thanks, i used geometry for the feathers, little planes (lots of them) with alpha and textures. the simulation was done using the hairfx system, then point cacheed to the geometry. i will post a more detailed step by step at my webpage.

thanks a lot Luigi!! the rig part was difficult to figure it out, but after some test it came out good (talking about the wing) cause i didn't want to use 2 models , one with open wings and other with them closed.
